•This position is part-time in nature and will have you working in the homes of families to which we provide services. Hours of employment shall be irregular and shall depend on the needs of FCRS and the availability of you, the employee. Our staff is expected to be available 20 hours per week with the expectation to accept jobs for weekends, unless prohibited by some extenuating circumstance. It is a perfect opportunity for someone who needs flexible hours or wants to help out on a part-time basis. In many ways, you’ll control the schedule you work because you accept or decline jobs–but you must be available at least 20 hours per week.
•Qualifications include, but are not limited to: High school diploma or equivalent; prefer job related experience must be able to lift, bend, push and pull up to 50 lbs.; Multi-media First-Aid; CPR – adult, child & infant.
•Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversees the care of the developmentally disabled individuals during the absence of the parent/guardian, as agreed to by the parent/guardian; ensures the safety and well being of all family members (siblings under age 18) during the absence of the parent/guardian as agreed to by the provider and the family; observes the individual’s behaviors and reports any unusual occurences to the Family Support Administrator or designee and parent/guardian; secures household materials, maintains a safe and secure environment in the home and plans, prepares and serves nutritious meals as agreed to by family and Respite Provider; administers required medications.
